Small Groups
Community life and life-sustaining relationships
expressed through regular participation in a small
group are signs of God’s blessing.
Nearly
70% of our church members, adults and teens participate
in small groups - where we get to know and care
for others, worship God, give and receive prayer,
and apply Bible study to our daily lives.
Kids
More than 1000 children being discipled is a sign
of God’s blessing.
1300+ children weekly participate
in the VineyardKids’ mission
to build up kids in the faith and knowledge
of Jesus Christ.
We are blessed to sponsor Awesome
Adventure (discipleship group), Power Play
(designed especially for boys of single
moms), winter camp, day camp (maxed at 350
children), Harvest Bash (nearly 2000 children
and parents) and other special events throughout
the year.
Teens
More than 1000 children being discipled is a sign
of God’s blessing.
Over 200 teens attend Wednesday
night services and on the weekends
Nearly 300
kids attend The ROCK (Middle School)
or The Net (High School).
Many opportunities for discipleship,
missions and annual retreats or camps
are available for teens to attend and
build a foundation for a lasting relationship
with Christ.
Community Outreach
Being able to minister to those in need in our
community is a sign of God’s blessing.
Our ministry to the poor and the homeless,
Fruit of the Vine, provides food to over
350 families each month at our food pantry.
We
have 3 small groups that meet for our homeless
and formerly homeless friends.
We run a
free medical clinic that offers medical,
optometric and dental care as well as counseling
and prayer. About 150 people accepted Jesus
Christ as their savior in 2004 through
the evangelism of the medical clinic.
We
host a Single Parents fair twice a year,
reaching out to over 600 single parent
families.
Our After-School Program called
The Zone serves 43 students per week and
over the summer, the program grew from
88 students a day in 2003 to 130 students
a day in 2004. The Zone also hosted a basketball
league in spring of 2004 attended by 60-70
kids.
Through Project Compassion, over
175 men, women and children affected by
AIDS/HIV are being impacted for Christ.
